Default Site For Sale

Hi,
Very much regretted, but I must sell my primary site. I live in the US and things are changing up so much and I just want out of the mess and am going to sell out and move on till this clears up at least.
My site has made well over 100k in less than a year - Asking 30k
I am not sure what or how to go about selling , I have never sold a site before so I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions for me please message or email me or post here.
like .. what exactly will I need .. I have stats and proof of income and also proof where I have paid quarterly taxes as well on the earnings. But Im not sure where to start with the sell where should I list it? Should I just hire someone to take care of the sale for me?
30k is just small fraction of what the sites true value , would make a difference in should I auction the site or straight out sell it?
I never used my site in the signature and never spam and hope its ok to list the url here just for you guys to check out and give me suggestions. pokerposted.com

if you are trying to sell a site it would be a good idea to let people know the site name! As for the price if you made over $100k last year on it, it worth is well over $30k, and you should hold out on it until you get what the site is worth, you dont have to promote or even have your links up on the site to keep it online for selling purposes. You should check out sedo and maybe get an appraisal before jumping the gun!

P.S. Just saw the site name!

Not to sound like the Devil's advocate, but how did you manage to make 100k in less than a year off a PR1 ranked website??

PR doesnt mean much, you can have a pr0 and get a ton of traffic before google does an update, google doesnt do regular updates on pr, every 3-5 months is what im seeing, as far as the toolbar goes, the actual pr changes all the time! People place way to much emphasis on google pr, when they should be more concerned with actual traffic stats!

Site was pr3 in less than 2 months of launch and went to pr2 and has been there ever since .. I dont know much about seo and pr so never focused on this area.. I started an affiliate program that had 140 affiliates spreading the word all over the net and we received 1300 uniques a day alone for a while... most all of this I have lessened up on due to the legislation and all so, if this was purchased by someone in UK or elsewhere that could actualy get everything roling as should be and also adding sports section would be a huge boost in pofits to this site .. over 90% of traffic is NOT USA mostly european and swedish.
Not sure the best way to show proof of the income but I have any proof you need if your interested in the site.

Just to think of 1 site I know has prob made a million pokerinside.com for instance and there is no pr there as well and the site is way older than mine and has prob made a fortune.

Hi,
I have placed a partial list of some of the payments that the site has earned.. this is a very partial list only and is no where near a year of income.. its like 4-5 months and proves over 75k income easily for these few months. One single month alone was over my asking price of 30k.
Anyone interested in the link to look at these please PM me and I will send you the link.

It seems a lot of people have ignored your post so let me give you my honest take on it and be blunt and harsh in the process.

I have a lot of experience selling sites but am not sure how I would go about selling yours for anywhere close to the price you are looking for. This is not meant to be offensive or to call you out at all, but the site is not worth anywhere near $30K IMO. I speculate that perhaps you $100K earnings were luck (just happened to land a big fish or two).

The first thing I noticed was the low Google PR. This is fine; one site I own had 0 PR for a while until this past update and is one of my top earners. The next thing I looked at was Alexa. Nothing real impressive there either. I then check seomoz and see 1.5 page strength. I check iwebtool who generally has a higher # then other places for incoming links nothing impressive there either.

The site itself has some content but nothing special and not a ton.

I was going to run search position reports on keywords in your title but every page had the same title. So I was going to run some search position reports on your H1 tags but the site doesn’t have those either. Finally I ran reports on what I thought was the pages targets and don’t see and good rankings at first glance though it was not easy for me to just pull this info because the site Is even really basic optimized.

I know this is harsh and I’m being blunt but I think you’re lucky to get $1500 for your site.
Someone can spend a couple hundred for custom template, spend a few weeks writing articles and then have plenty of money left to buy text links and have a site of the same value with $1500.

Why would anyone buy yours for $30K?

I realize you have proof of income but something don’t ad up. The site itself is not worth a lot. I’m not saying you didn’t earn that income but I’m telling you its not specifically because of this site. This site might of got lucky or you have a huge network of friends who joined sites using poker posted or some other factor like this. Whatever the situation is it would be extremely unlikely this situation is passed to a new owner.

Again this is not meant to be offensive, I’m sure others have thought the same thing but didn’t desire to type them.
