Ok... where to start. Please don't take this the wrong way, I am just trying to help:
First off, tried is not spelled "tryed".
2nd: Your Domain is called USA Poker Listings, but the title on the site is AMERICAS POKER?
3rd: The site seems kinda spammy. I completely understand that you may not have the best web design skils, but the free template you have chosen is one of the worst I have ever seen.
4th: The only way I could see this site getting some kind of success is if it is used as a spam site, which most people on this site are highly against.
5th: If you are serious about becoming a poker affiliate, look at trying to develop a reason for your players to come back to your site. Not just a one time thing.
6th: Your headings, font sizes, over use of BOLD have no consistency. Try to keep things consistant on the site.
7th: Text alignment. Some pages have all text centered.
I am gonna stop there. Hopefully those suggestions will help if you are serious about becoming an affiliate.

well ty, i went ahead and checked your site(pokergeist.com) out and found some disturbing things as well. Lets start at the name, pokergeist? could you have picked a stupider url?
2. you site has not been updated in a while...that can only mean one of two things, either your a spammer or your a novice...i will give you an example.
A. "The traffic at Poker.com is highly Texas Hold-em oriented. Peak traffic hours is still a little lacking ( at around 600-1000 players)"
its about 5,000 now.....
B.- "50% Deposit Bonus (up to $100)".....they offer a 100% bonus
3.your use of the word "online" is discusting...i would say 1 our of every 5 words is "online"...
4. you site is just terrible, everything is outdated, ALOT of spelling errors and misformed sentences. I would guess all you do is spam

NewPokerGirl,
I believe Graham was honestly trying to help you out. Do you agree with any of the statements he mentioned?
I also think that the site needs to look more professional. I for one would not trust the site the way it is set up and the look of it. This is not criticism but an honest opinion. Please take a look at some of the other sites in the signatures of affiliates here and you will get a good idea of some more professional designs and arrangements.
Best,
Mark

Graham took the time to look through the site, offer critique that you wanted, and you return the favour by going to his site with the sole intention of finding as many negative things about it as possible? With an immaturity level like that, are you sure you're even old enough to be an affiliate? Or do they allow 12 year olds to do this sort of thing now?
Seriously, you have to be willing to accept criticism, both positive and negative. Grahams points were all spot on, and that is the kind of advice that will actually HELP you. If you don't want help, then don't post here asking for feedback on your site, but to respond like you did is a fucking joke.
Graham, you did a very good job critiquing the site(as always), and brought up many good points, so kudos on that.

I don't think there's any need to be so terrible. Graham brought up a lot of points that are right one. You're a beginner, and your site clearly show that, and you came here asking for a review. Just because someone doesn't respond immediately telling you that it's totally awesome or whatever you're looking to hear, you don't have to go off on them. If you think he was being rude, you need to toughen up a little bit. You're getting advice from people who have vastly more experience than yourself and you should try to be a little humble. Take their opinions with a grain of salt and don't lash out or personally attack anyone. So Graham didn't deliver his review for you in a pretty little saccharine pacakage. Big deal. Read between the lines and act like an adult. If you take a step back and swallow your pride, you might find out that there is a lot being offered to you here.
As far as your site goes:
- I would pick a different layout. The one you've got up right now does look cheap and probably turns off a number of people who might otherwise stay longer.
- Work on adding some original content to your page. Right now it seems copied and pasted (some of it is, I know), which makes the whole page feel like it was thrown together. The same people who are going to be searching for your page are going to be sharp enough to tell when something was slapped together to make a dime off an opportunity. Nothing wrong with capitalizing on something, just try to makes sure it doesn't look like that's what you're doing.
- I agree with the formatting. Your text is kind of all over the place and on some pages it spills over to the other "margin" of the background, making it impossible to read.
- Have a friend (or anyeone whose advice you can take without getting defensive) proofread your whole page. It is rife with both spelling and grammatical errors, and therefore difficult to read. A little time fixing those would be well worth it and make your page look about ten times better.
If you're not spamming, you're doing something right if you made decent money last month with poker.com. So look for the positive things and build off of those, and don't take what people say about your website personally- I know the time and effort we put into these things can make us rather attached to them, but you've got to be able to separate criticism of your work and yourself.
