The affiliate game is.... what it is.
Play by the rules.
Love it or leave it.

The guy semi-coherently accused me, three times now, of doing some cookie thing that I have no idea about, and now you make an obnoxious post saying it is a "cheap shot" to remind him not to post while drunk, which almost got him banned here.
My statement was awfully restrained under the circumstances, but Dave, there is no excuse for you being rude.

"For the 27th time I am talking about surfers, I told you 4 posts ago that if an affiliate makes that player deposit or download the software, they earned the sale in my opinion."
And again, why do you keep mentioning 1/10th of the issue without facing the implications of what you are saying? You can't talk about a practice involving surfers without looking at the implications for other players.
It's like you are saying there should be a blanket policy about rain but then saying "I'm only talking about rain that falls on the sidewalk, not rain falling on the grass." Making policies requires you look at all the implications.
"I respectfully disagree with everything you said."
Well, we do disagree, and that's fine. You've explained your view, and I've offered things I think point out why this is a very difficult grey area, not a black and white one like many people seem to think it is.

PPP, let's get this right. Your first post was an accusation of cheating. You accuse of stealing and fraud. You insult anyone who disagree's with you.
You claim you know nothing about cookies (I'm sure you know exactly what it is).
If you didn't know what it was why are you even arguing the point. It is very relevant to this topic.
I think dave is the sort of affiliate who understands closure. If you genuinely dont understand the points, there is not a hope in hell you would bring in the numbers you do unless it is based on underhand tactics.
Now from your posts, I will assume you are drunk or on drugs. Either way I will speak on your behalf and request that the members you insulted, ignore your drunken, drug fuelled comments.
In future, please refrain from abusing members who are simply asking relevant affiliate questions. I wouldnt ban you, I would just restrict you to the cocktail lounge for a few weeks untill you get your head out of your azz.
Feel free to hurl insults at me, but please do it by PM. This is a professional forum for affiliate discussions. please refrain from cluttering up the forums with your nonsense.
"I respectfully disagree with everything you said."
Enough said.

The reality is any site offering any deal to players will encounter players with existing accounts wanting the deal. Insisting otherwise is too silly to take seriously.

Then you have absolutely no CLUE about how this works. At all. Do you seriously think that all Poker rooms rely on to determine if a player already has an account or not is a COOKIE? In that case, you would be able to collect the reward once for Internet Explorer, once for Opera, once for Firefox, and all over again on one of your other pcs, all without clearing your cookies? Well duh, of course not. They DO have their own databases of existing players you know...
The ONLY way to effectively cheat the system like you think I'm doing, is registering an account in a different name, on a different IP number, with a different address and a different payment method. If you see my list of deals here: http://www.rakeaway.com/deals.php?list=all, I think you'll see there is no NEED to cheat the system. There are plenty of deals out there.

Do you seriously think saying something so silly helps your situation?
Now we've gone too far off the weird end even for me.
Good luck with your plan of trying to have a good relationship with cardrooms by deleting something the cardrooms use.

Do you seriously think what you posted before sounded like something more sensible than what I thought you said?
So tell me

Was that part of your post either:
A) Completely irrelevant
B) Implying that deleting cookies allows players to create a second account
C) A part of your rant against incentivized marketing?

Dude, cookies help cardrooms in their tracking. They aren't the only thing they use. As for the comment on incentivized marketing... huh? Deleting a cardroom's cookies has nothing to do with incentivized marketing so I don't know why you bring it up again. Time to move on. You do what you want, and the cardrooms will do what they want in response to you destroying their cookies.

Is PPP an affiliate?
The more I read the posts PPP makes, the more I think he is a sadist.
We all just want to be successful and any tools that can help us succeed should be welcomed and not put down.
Can we get back to the question at hand and get some help with the situation???
