Thumbs down

I don't trust them anymore after THIS too.

They just give a shit about many things.
Nobody really controls them so...

Hi anyone926,

As you noted, this is not in the Income Access T&C. As Shenaz mentioned, this has not been enforced on any affiliate.

Please get in touch if you have any further questions.

Regards,

I try to contact my affiliate managers as little as possible (ie. only if there is a major problem). Everything else should be automated on their end.

Even a smaller affiliate bringing in $50 a month (around $250 revenue for them every month) should be looked after. 100 people doing this is still $25,000. If they need more people, they could easily hire someone part-time to look after these people for a small amount.

Resources shouldn't really be a good excuse.
Just wanted to jump in on this real quick Graham.

Perfect way to explain it...on forum's how many times do you hear affiliates post negatively about affiliate programs because they don't care about the little guy? You cannot just not answer them because they are not big enough, because they are smart enough to make one post that 20 others in the same boat can jump in on. Now you have a 3 page thread about how horrible some program is.

Now look at it from the other view, how many posts have you seen because some big affiliate posts how the affiliate program must not want their business anymore because they have not responded in a timely manner. IMO you have to be there for all of them, no matter how big or small.

Now let's not forget, these rooms are in this to make money...not to hold hands. Yes they want to help as much as possible but they all have their #1 priority. I think sometimes affiliates (not on this forum nearly as much as on a different one) expect too much from Affiliate programs. They think their value is higher than it actually is. So it is not easy to please...that is why I ALWAYS put all my efforts into having the best customer support/service possible.

End blog.

Wouldn't PokerListings also have an Ultimate Bet MGR account for their rakeback sites?
Rakebrain, rakerebatereview, taketherakeback etc.

Brandon I realise you have the view of the higher end of the affiliate spectrum & from the AM point of view, but did you not consider Jacks&Queens a bad business model for limiting their affiliate program to 1000 decent producers. From the lower end, communication is the most frustrating thing for most affiliates. There would be no need for pages of moans if they were kept informed. No mass e-mail was sent to my knowledge of the change to the TOS. It looked like an underhand addition that affects 80% of their affiliates, albeit smaller earners. How long does it take to send one e-mail to everyone that affects most of them?

Let me restate, I do not condone what they did. Just as I said Poker.com's blunder was lack of communication, not the possible sale of poker.com or delayed launch. I am an affiliate, I know what we like and need. I just understand what they are doing. Would I do it? maybe, not without letting all of my affiliates know first. But its more of a protection, so they can weed out the nonactive affiliates.

As most here could attest to, customer support has and always be my main focus for my affiliates. I am always available and have been very open with all of my contact details to anyone who needs help or has a question. Also I do not have a higher end view; I am available to everyone at anytime. Regardless to how much traffic you can send.

I think that people should pay more attention to what is actually coming out about this from UB and Absolute: this hasn't ever been enforced on any affiliate. Why worry about it? It's sort of like the law that makes it illegal to take the tags off of your mattress. It may be in the books, but is it ever actually enforced? If you don't like the program, then fine. However, this is a silly reason to go after them.

I am not sure if you are agreeing with me, disagreeing, or agreeing to disagree

I never meant to ignore anybody because they weren't producing enough. I meant put a lower priority on the guy sending you 5 emails a day, that has brought you 2 players in the last month. I think everyone should be treated equally (to a certain extent), with occassional special rewards / over the top service for the ones making them lots of money (those are the people you want to keep happy). Everyone starts off small, and some will go on to be big affiliates, so don't burn your bridges early.
