If any of ya'll are in college or just graduated, and have a facebook account (great new update on the facebook yesterday /end sarcasm), put your link in there. I get about a hit a day from that. Also, if you're on campus or near campus, like it was said earlier in the thread, put up flyers all over the place. I like the sticker idea, for putting them at the bus stops and in the bathrooms. I especially like the biz card holders in the bathroom idea, and also the biz cards on the seats in the stadium. I can't wait till the next UGA home game, that stadium's gonna be mine =)

p.s. to all you guys looking for cheap business cards, look on eBay. There's plenty of sellers on there that'll design and print up 5000 2 sided color glossy cards for right at or under $100. Jus' a heads up.

p.p.s. also, if you're a partypoker affiliate, they'll send you biz cards to distribute for free, as many as you want. let's see... 100$ for 5000... or 5000 for free.. hmmm...

hope i haven't missed someones post thats was along these lines but there was quite a lot to read on this thread.

anyway this is what i did at the start and am doing again in the coming months, works wonders.

2 friendly and of course beutiful ladies, a few $$$ and some cards.

I sponsored a horse race at a local track near to me and in the region which my site was based www.cumbrianpoker.co.uk by doing this the race was called the www.cumbrianpoker.co.uk handicap stakes and was listed in every national newspaper for gamblers to see.

the course let me turn up with the girls in tow and get everyone at the track to fill out a free membership form to join cumbrian poker, they were dreesed smart with a sash baring the company name.

who's not gong to talk to them?

I got thousands of customised chips and made them into ketyrings which we gave away if they filled in the membership form.

The form had sections for, name, address, email, and most important mobile phone number.

I can now use text marketing to let everyone know what new and whats coming up.

They get texts for everything, like live game this week, $100 bonus on partypoker visit www.partypoker.com use bonus code : whatever

I think i got over 1500 names addresses, emails and mobile numbers that day and i lot of sign ups to follow.

All in all it cost around £1400 about $2600 but i swear it was well worth it and got me off to a great start.

People information is priceless, get it, keep it and USE IT.

hitting all race courses in the uk within the next 6 months as i have most regions covered now with sites iof a simular nature.

and if your paying someone $300 to hand out 125 fliers your wasting your money, i'd pay about $80 for a full days work doing it or infact do it myself at the same time.

Here is a simple one: Do you play in a pool league, bowling league, etc? Name your team, your websites name. (OnlinePokerTour.com) When the league sheets go out each week, all the teams will see your name.Free advertising

Also, back to the business cards. I use www.growll.com which you can create and order full color businesses cards, front and back for about $55 for 1000. I have used them for business cards, post cards, etc.

Here is a local advertising plan I will put in place soon. I think I am going to use it for my humor site tho. I made friends with a local bar owner. He has offered me a special price of $.75 for well drinks for anytime I want to have a special party.

I am having large car stickers made up for peoples back windows. I will have the first party and offer anyone that places this sticker on their car 10 drinks on me. Each month we will have a party and if they still have the sticker on their car, they will get another 10. They can bring in their friends or give the drinks away they they have extra. In short, it will cost me $7.50 per car for a months worth of advertising. I will keep growing the amount of cars each month.

Has anyone ever tried leaving stacks of business cards or flyers with their site or bonus code in the poker rooms of local casinos? I know that several of the poker rooms at the casinos around our area have an area with magazines and stuff so I was thinking about just leaving a stack of cards there with our bonus code on it.

Regarding the posts about stamping money... Is that illegal? I work part time as a valet and with all the one dollar bills i get the only thing i ever see stamped on them is where's George stuff. However the other day I noticed a few bills with stickers stuck on them... This is what made me think of this thread... The stickers seem to be stuck on fairly well and do not look like they will come off unless someone wants them to. An interesting idea?
