I'm going to close all the previous threads on the subject of Party Poker rakeback and rake rebates and ask that all discussion of that issue take place in this one thread. Any new threads started regarding Party Poker and rake rebates and rakeback will be deleted. I'll make this thread sticky so it stays at the top of the forum as long as it's still an issue.

This will prevent the rest of the forum from becoming clogged with threads about the same subject.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Jeremy,

Check out this link from 2+2. One guy called your forum, Scum Sucking Parasites. LOL.

P.S. I do not know if Party is going to offer rakeback or not, but my daily MGR on Party is at all time highs. So Party must be doing something right. Anyone else having a better than average month since this chaos started?

Richard-

Thanks for posting the link to that thread. I posted a reply over at 2+2. I think it's unfortunate that namecalling, trolling, and flaming like that happened over there, because it's actually a high-value forum with a lot of good information for poker players.

You are right, there is nothing to discuss except sharing information to turn cheating affiliates in.

Party Poker does not allow rake back. Party Poker will not allow anyone to advertise rakeback to get new players.

Scammers claiming otherwise are lying or (maybe more often) cluelessly parroting what someone else said.

Whether you like to offer rakeback or not isn't the point. The point is it is clearly against the rules at Party, and you put your affiliate account at risk by violating the very clear terms and conditions that Party has.

I also found that comical. I appreciate the backlink though as the forum is now experiencing record traffic numbers.

I really have no desire to waste my time or breathe arguing with poker players who have no concept of what a proffessional poker affiliate does for a living, but I will throw in a few thoughts.

I have publicly stated that I do not offer rakeback, however for each their own. If you are an ethical affiliate and follow the terms and conditions of a program that offers rakeback then knock yourself out. I certainly can empathize with why a more experienced or higher limit player would want to take advantage of it.

But do not call me a scum sucking parasite because I am not willing to break the terms and conditions set forth by the card room that I have decided to partner with. When that is my livlihood, I will not take that risk.

It is comical to see poker players whining about an affiliate not giving rakeback. Okay Mr. Fellow Poker Player how about the fact that I spend $1000's of marketing dollars each month to find new players for these sites. If you have an incredible killer session on your first experience, are you going to ship me some of my marketing dollars back as a thank-you? Likewise I am like anyone else, I'm in business to make money. My business provides a marketing service to the poker sites and I expect to be paid accordingly by those sites.

Saying poker affiliates are scum sucking parasites because we do not give rake back is an extremely uneducated and ignorant statement. When your searching for a flight on the internet, let's say you follow an Expedia banner somewhere and subsequently book your reservations. Do you then go back to the original site and ask for a portion of that webmasters commission?

Likewise if you sit in a B&M card game all day and realize you just dumped $100 into the rake, do you go to the card room and demand a portion back?

Someone in that thread over at 2+2 also mentioned that he wrote John Kyl to ask him to crack down on poker affiliates.

Uh...does he not realize that if John Kyl "cracks down" on poker affiliates, Kyl will be "cracking down" on the people paying rakeback.

Someone also posted in that thread that Party Riches is from the point-of-view of non-rakeback affiliates only.

This is entirely inaccurate, as I'm sure Beanie would be happy to verify, since he's shared his point-of-views here on a regular basis. Poker affiliates offering rakeback have always been welcome to share their point of view here.

I'm be very surprised and disappointed if the moderators of the forum there allow someone at their forum to call this entire site "scum sucking parasites" without appropriately moderating them for flaming and trolling.

Not only have Jeremy and I bought advertising from 2+2, we've both bought books they publish, so we're customers as well as fellow webmasters.

That kind of post and commentary there benefits no one, and the namecalling does nothing but make the namecaller look bad.
