A Message to AM's

Ya Jeremy,

The Donk isn't the guy you are meaning.

Must be drinking too much Chicago Bears Tea.

But, in some aspects I DO AGREE with The Donk. I would say out of 20 AMs I have worked with in the past year (rough estimate), about 5 were great, 5 were ok and 10 horrible.

You know who you are if you are a good/great AM...I am NOT naming any names at all.

I think the #1 thing the amateur or ANY affiliate wants from an AM is....

A RESPONSE (usually one within 24 hours).

I didn't want to post yesterday right after the chief's post...but I think now is an appropriate time.

Heck there are some cases where I'd be ecstatic to get an answer in a week. Others.. I'd shoot for just in this lifetime..

There are many many great AM's out there though, gotta give them their props too .. and not only do I give them their props, I give them my space - for a fee of course but .. for those AM's that suck..

Just give their property the hint, as we start removing banners from folks that haven't heard of customer service.. pretty simple stuff


PS Also vouching for TheDonk .. Sweet Guy (even though I thought he was a girl :P)

I know what TheDonk is trying to say and agree with him to some extent. There are MANY programs that don't respond to emails, treat their affiliates like crap, etc. (ie. Full Tilt/Chipleader)

I can understand the frustration TheDonk brings up in this thread...it's one that's obviously shared by a large percentage of affiliates who put in a lot of their time and money into promoting poker. You would think with sites that big and that popular around the world that they would have affiliate teams ready to handle and respond to our inquiries within a decent amount of time.

Actually I read the initial post after coming home from watching the Packers get destroyed by the Cowboys. It must have been the beer and chicken wings that made me get confused between thedean and thedonk.
