I don't understand why you even bothered to mention an amount at all. You go on and judge how important something is to somebody without considering that the importance of that thing is subjective. $xx might not be much to you, but to some, that's enough to make them jump in joy.
Also, your comment about how $xx and the death of a family member are not comparable makes it seem that you have a problem with somebody posting that they've lost money, but no problem with somebody posting that they had a death in the family. However, this is out of line with your statement that only affiliate related topics should be discussed in this forum, because a death in the family is not directly related to the affiliate related content which you desire.
On the other hand, absentx made a mistake by trusting a person from this forum in which he does not know very well. There are plenty of people that he could have asked, including myself. In fact, I was talking to him just a night or two again and the opportunity was right in front of him. He did ask how I have been cashing out, but never took the opportunity to ask me if he could do a trade.
As far as the argument between PSO and the translator, I felt that the thread was useless (but a good read if you want something to laugh about). You talk about common sense in not trading with a member in the forum, but yet you talk about how PSO's lack of common sense was "the most useful thread PAW has had in awhile."
The rating system that has been mentioned is something that would not help this forum. By giving each affiliate a rating like that would cause drama in the forums about why people have a good or bad rating. If you've been around these forums long enough, then you know just who you can talk to if you need somebody you can trust.
