I Am Legend, not too off-topic.
I just left the theatre, saw I Am Legend with Will Smith. I don't know how else to put it, and I'm not throwing the word around - Un Be Liev A Ble!
When the movie was over, half of the audience cheered and applauded - loudly. The other half sat there stunned. My wife, sister in law, and myself were pretty much speechless, it blew us all away. People often ruin movies by overly hyping them, but I'm 100% sure there is nothing I could do to ruin it for anyone, it's that good. So, how does this relate to poker?
After the movie was over, I said to my wife "if you were a filmmaker, wouldn't that just demoralize you, knowing that you'd never make a movie that was this good"? It occured to me that it was something for me to think about even as a webmaster. What moves people are things that are different, and more engaging. To create waves in an industry that is so saturated you have to do something genuinly creative. Wouldn't it be great to have a website that was so good that everyone who visited it told all their friends about it? How else are we going to pry the loyal visitors of the big sites to become as loyal at ours if all we offer is a weaker version of what they already get from another site?
Watch this movie, it really is remarkable. If it doesn't inspire you to do better, work harder, and think further outside the box, nothing will.

I see the point you are making, and I agree 100%. You should always be trying to leave an impression on your visitors no matter how big or small.
Where I am going to disagree with you, is in the movie.
It was ok. Wasn't anything great, mostly due to the plot being done multiple times (28 days later for example). Will Smith did a great job, but it just wasn't an epic film like I was hoping for. Now don't get me wrong, I wouldn't suggest not seeing it, but the feeling in the theater that we went to was a bit dissatisfied. I think we all were expecting a little bit more.

Wow, I'm utterly shocked. I think I typically expect more from a movie than most people do, tend to be dissapointed often. For example, I thought the Matrix, Silence of the Lambs, MI movies weren't nearly as good as most people do. Personally, I couldn't imagine expecting more from a movie than this one had to offer. It's so interesting how peoples tastes differ.

I saw the movie on IMAX and would give it about an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. Worth seeing, entertaining, but not what I would call a great movie. Basically, has no shot of winning an oscar in any categores in my opinion.
To me a great movie is a movie that I would watch again two weeks later.
just my two peso's

I see a new movie in the theaters every Friday, no joke. I'm a movie buff and love all types of movies. I own 650+ DVD's and love watching the classics just as much as any modern day action flick or Indie film. Id have to say though that "I Am Legend" was just one of those movies you could watch and enjoy on a weekend date, but it's nothing spectacular like any of the earlier movies I've seen this year -- like No Country For Old Men or The Assassination of Jesse James.
Even the remake of 3:10 to Yuma was better in comparison to the remake of "I Am Legend," which was based off the original book and then loosely remade from the original movie, which was titled "The Omega Man" (the book was better than the actual movies that followed it).
I like the overall objective of the post though Donk...it really hits home when you read it in full and is something a lot of affiliates should strive for in this business.
