Adding a search form

[ThePokerBank]

I have been looking to add a search throughout my site. I have looked around on google and found a few sites offering to index your site and give you the html for the search forms to add to your site. However, when using these forms, when you hit 'search' the button redirects you to a different site with a list of the results, from which you can click on the links to be redirected to your site.

Although this does work, I am looking to add a search feature that gives results within your own site on a results page, so that the visitors are not constantly being redirected in and out of the site. I feel this will feel a lot more professional.

I would like to know if this is possible, and how/where I should go about it? Also if this will cost, and how much?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Sorry about the early bump, but its a genuine question that may prove useful to others aswell as me if adressed.

I use Wrensoft Zoom indexer for my other websites. I've got the pro version as some of my sites have a massive amount of pages, but they have a free version for sites of up to 50 pages (I think). I found the CGI very easy to install (there's also a php and some other versions) and once you've got it set up with all your preferences you can update your 'database' with just one click, it's also very easy to integrate within your own template, and there are no redirections or ads. I've investigated loads of different packages over the years but I found this one to be the easiest to set up and delivers the fastest query results for me.

Hope that helps.
