Default Redesigned Site - Review Appreciated!

Hi All,

Thanks for all the feedback on my site - ( www.sitandgoplanet.com )a few weeks ago. Though the original post was a victim of the hackers the feedback you gave me inspired what I am now thinking of as 'Version 2-A'

The look is totally new and based on the feedback that:

- We should make it clear to visitors that there is a lot of content.
- More focus on rooms / bonus codes in general
- Ditch the 'planet' image-map!

If the collective members of PAW could spend a minute on the new site and let me know their first impression + (more importantly) any areas which should be a priority when completing the redesign I'd be most grateful...

Just FYI, the 'blogs' 'tools' and 'beginners area' are not yet completed, we also plan more pics within the articles when time permits.

Anyway - any feedback whether good, bad or ugly would be gratefully received.

Thanks, Mark

That is a fantastic improvement, I'm a big fan of the general style and layout. All the info is much easier to find and is well organised.

The only thing I would suggest is changing the font/images you have for the headers such as in the top navigation bar. I find it a little hard on the eyes as the outline is a little fuzzy making it hard to read.

However, if you get that sorted you have a fantastic site on your hands and will prove to be a valuable resource to all sng poker players. Work on getting some traffic in through SEO and you should do well.

Also, are you using a free script for the most popular articles over 30 days or is it custom? Looks like something I would be interested in using.

Hi Pokerbank,

Thanks for the feedback - will certainlu look into the fonts.

The 'most popular' is currently manual, what we did was have a 1 line sub-heading with each article in the site. This gets used as the description you see in the 'most recent' 'most popular' etc and also as the '****' description for the SEs and H3 for the articles themselves... keywords are done separately - each area having its own set with 3 or 4 more for each article in addition to the category ones within the article **** tag.

Cheers, Mark

I think you should add some screenshots in the room reviews.

When you mouse over the contact link in the menu you cant see the text because of the foregorund background are almost the same. You need to change the color.

much better!

I don't care for the font you use for your headers (ex the Head 2 head). It doesn't look 'crisp' on my screen. Overall though, it looks much like a much better direction than your other design. Good luck with the site!

Great overall design. I think a couple of improvements would make it easier to read. As the others mentioned, the top menu could be more clean. How about just using text links instead of images?

And the left menu. I think its a little difficult to read the links as they are blue on a blue background.

Else, i think you got a great website and it looks like its a ton of SNG information there. GL.

A vast improvement on the time I looked! I agree with the previous comments about the left index text and the top 'tab' text goes a bit 'wiggly' on my screen (very technical term that - wiggly, lol).

One thing I noticed is that you don't have your own bonus codes listed for party, mansion and absolute (I was reading the 5 alternatives to the Sunday Million article). You really need to get these up and mention them as often as you can as these are the main way you can make sure you'll get paid for all your hard work.

Totally agree with that comment, brand your site through bonus codes, even request multiple ones for different pages.

Maybe Use the bonus amount in there as well SNG1000 for mansion maybe.

Some great feedback folks - thanks.

Will get working on the fonts this weekend - bonus codes waiting on the sites... if anyone else has any comments, big things or small, they are most welcome.

Cheers, Mark
