Default A thread...

for each room, not necessarily a forum.

I would like a sticky that has the respective affiliate deals for each room, even if not a member of the network.

PAW is meant to serve affiliates...for the industry in general, I thought.
So, information about non-PAW Sites is still useful to affiliates, and saves them time scurrying around if they are looking for non-PAW sites to promote as well.

I would appreciate it if there were threads for each room, and if positive and negative experiences of other affiliates were posted...it would help in deciding which ones to explore and which to avoid wasting one's time.

I like having separate forums for each room, can't we have the PAW programs at the top and the others following below in alphabetical order?

If you restrict individual forums to PAW programs only it changes the whole 'feel' of the place and I don't know if it would have caught my attention when I first visited.

Problem with threads is that new one's get posted about the same room and old news gets 'lost' unless the mods kept on top of it so all the info was in one place. PAW is a great place for newbie affiliates, and if you want to attract more into the fold, the more info available and the easier it is to find the better. I'd like to see more rooms added, (but kept to poker only).

Whatever happens, I'll still keep coming back.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. As you can see we have not changed any of the forums yet as we are waiting for all the members to chime in.

From our side though you have to realize a few things; In order for us to secure higher CPA's and deals for the members, we need to offer our partner rooms something. For example their own forum. These rooms are paying higher rates to PAW members because they see the value of being on the network and in front of our entire community. Likewise, for the most part we are all professional poker affiliates and bring RMP's with solid player value.

With that said it would not be fair to give every room in the industry the same exposure. Of course this is an industry forum and we encourage every A.M. and program to be here, there is no doubt about this. But to offer up personal forums to every room at the largest poker affiliate forum with (us) the community getting nothing in return, this is just bad business IMHO.

I am thinking one forum for all other rooms or possibly sub-forums at this point. We have to give back to the rooms that are giving to us.

...if you did keep individual forums for each room, you could have a sidebar box that told everyone which forums have new posts....and they could include the topics.

I have seen this on another forum and it works well.

I think that the rooms on the PAW Network should have their own forum. It is nice to have a place to go for specific room information. PAW network rooms are offering deals to PAW that allows PAW to offer above industry standard rates to affiliates on it's network.

Rooms not on the network can share a forum with other non network rooms or, you can offer them an opportunity to purchase their own forum if they so choose. This keeps the exposure to those who pay for it, in one way or another, to the PAW community. Plus it keeps the quality of poker rooms with private forums at a certain level here at PAW (ie, not every startup poker site and their brothers getting a private forum here) and it would probably clear up some of the non active forums.

Anyway, whatever you guys do, just keep providing the best place for poker affiliates to exchange ideas and do business online . My .02

Well put Jeremy, we all have to realize although we want a representative from all poker rooms in the forum; those who want access to the large field of top and soon to be top producing affiliates must accept the business responsibilities involved with such transactions. PAW and Poker New's always have had affiliates in mind....always....this is what Jeremy has envisioned even since I was Director of Operations; and the structure is finally in place. Those who are here pushing their well thought out product, and well paid for product, should deserve their own personal forum.

Although this will always be the community we have all enjoyed and grown it to be, it is a business and we must accept it as such and help it grow since we all have gained so much from it.

I think each room on your network should have it's own forum, as has been suggested. And then one "catchall" forum for the other forums.

Perhaps for the catch all forum...where right now, I can create a thread "icon" when creating a new thread...for example in General Discussion right now, Gazmans sticky thread has a thumbs up, and another thread a few rows down has the "angry" emoticon, create individual icons like this for each poker room. So for example if I want to create a thread about Party Poker(if they're not in your network), I can select the "Party Poker" thread icon so everyone knows without reading that it's relevant to the forums. This would make it easier for AMs to respond to as well. You can see this in action at the SomethingAwful.com Forums.

Even just keep a few forums open for more active affiliate managers but every other site that pops up to have their own thread. I noticed the VC Manager appear. If they had their own thread, they could just mark it for notification of responses. It means they & others not so active dont have to find a thread by chance. They wont be overloaded with e-mails asking them the same question
