Default Email about Bodog from PAW

Marius from PAW here. I have got one bad news for those who advertises Bodog Poker. Bodog seems to be not very honest in business. They have stopped the deal for PAW members. This is a huge loss for us and does not give the reliability for Bodog as well.

I suggest not promote them for some time because we will be negotiating about deal renewal.

We are very sorry for inconveniences caused. Such cases happen in our business from time to time...

Best regards,

Marius
Can we get some more info on what is goin on? I know when the thread was placed in here to tell everyone about it, I immediately got a call from my affiliate manager telling me that the announcement was premature, and that it wasn't certain yet.

I haven't used the PAW backend yet, so I know nothing about promoting through there. The email seems like it's calling out Bodog for doing something wrong, so I'm curious as to what's going on.

isn't that poor business to say that about a site, seems a bit unprofessional. I would assume PokerNews does a good bit of business with Bodog.

When I received that email I thought it was very unprofessional - spelling & grammer mistakes, and it seemed very slanted against Bodog.

I'm pretty curious about that email. Did Bodog stop being a sponsor or something?

I thought they stopped before. I took down the PAW links weeks ago. Did they re-sign up or something?

I thought the same thing Paul. No idea what this is all about as I don't use the PAW program either. Very poor business decision to send that email although I'm sure this guy is way down the chain if he's pulling stunts like that.

Is this really from someone working at PAW?

I didn't write this, nor did I know about the situation or agree with the email going out. For the record though Marius is a great and integral part of the team. Nonetheless english is not his native language and I imagine the email may have come accross in the wrong.

Still no excuse, but the morale of the story is that some affiliates were still promoting Bodog with us and apparently Bodog pulled the plug just until we wrap up negotiations. I think Marius was probably pissed off trying to defend your (the affiliates) positions in the whole situation as you are the ones who suffer the most.

Hi,
I would have to agree with Jeremy 100%. I have spoken to Marius on many occassions and he has always been very professional and has never seemed to be rude in any way.
I would also like to add that I do promote some of the PAW trackers and sure there was some slow stats in the startup and those were fixed and seem to be updating regularly now, Just as there are small setbacks with a couple of the poker room negotiations now, I'm sure they will all be resolved in a timely and professional way as well.
Just wanted to add that for you guys that aren't promoting for PAW yet.
I expect this affiliate program to be HUGE in the months ahead and hope that everyone who hasn't tried it yet isn't discouraged by someone elses experiences. Give it a shot for yourself before knocking it and don't give up when things get tough as they sometimes will, these guys are working to bring us great deals , deals that are hard to get for some and impossible for others. Hang in there guys and keep up the good work and it will pay off.
