Not 100% sure what the legality is on this in the US, but, most govt. officials would probably frown upon this. Especially if you weren't incorperated or a limited liability co. . Just MHO, but, I could be wrong.

Such a contest would be illegal in all 50 states since all states have laws regulating prize contests. In other words, you need a license. That doesn't even deal with the Party angle of it.

I figured it could be against the rules, kind of like having a raffle. Major restrictions on that.
O.K. Let's say for the sake of argument, it was completely legal, how would you go about using this as a marketing tool? lol

I asked the gentleman who owns this company and he's been selling these scratchers for years. He says they are legal. I am still not sure. Putting scratchers everywhere I think might work better than business cards.

Ask a gaming attorney, or your local DA, not the dude selling the scratchers.

Jeremy, what do you mean, "Incorporate off-shore and run everything through that".

By incorporating offshore you can register all your domains and your websites to that corporation instead of yourself personally. Essentially then, every aspect of your affiliate business is owned by your corporation instead of you as an individual.
With that said if legal issues came up somewhere down the line, you as an individual here in the states are assuming alot less liability. It is not illegal for a U.S. citizen to own an offshore corporation.
Think of it this way. Let's say you buy me Ebook and upon opening it your computer starts on fire and smoke billows out of it. So now you want to sue me and make me pay for your new computer. Well PartyRiches is owned by iWager Entertainment S.A. in Costa Rica, not Jeremy Enke in Chicago. So you need to take that issue up with my corporation, not me personally. Where do you start????? Take a flight down to Costa Rica. Not to say that you couldn't somehow sue me, but it is certainly going to be alot more difficult.
It's not to say that you are like teflon if you have an offshore corporation, because your not....................but it does make it alot more difficult to get yourself into hot water for your business dealings pertaining to online gaming (which are also offshore)
