When adding your link to a press release at PRweb, which way is the best way to do it?

www.mydomain.com
http://www.mydomain.com
domain.com

Thanks,

Ritch

"It is not illegal for a U.S. citizen to own an offshore corporation."

Tell Jay Cohen that. Incorporating offshore offers no protection.

PPP you seem to have an awfully negative attitude all the time, lighten up dude

If you want to bring up Jay Cohen, let's also add that he is the ONLY individual to EVER be convicted in the U.S. for owning and operating an offshore corporation related to online gaming. If your familiar with how everything went down in his situation, then you should know that it was complete bullshit. He did nothing different than hundreds if not thousands of others are doing, yet he was made an example of 7 years ago. Furthermore with the explosive growth in online gaming since then, there have been no further convictions.

Mr. Cohen was heavily involved in this industry and manging a multi-million dollar wagering business when the government thought they could make a point and curb the growth of online gaming in the states back in 1998. If you think that owning an offshore corp. to manage your poker affiliate business is going to get you into the same situation as Jay Cohen then by all means do not do it.

People email me all the time with concerns and questions about the legal issues involved with being an affiliate. I don't know, I'm not a lawyer! If your scared about being in the online poker affiliate business then go promote Amazon.com or some other affiliate program, In the meantime I'll be right here counting my money every month from online gaming. B)

For those of you not familiar with Jay Cohen's story you can learn about it on the following site:

http://www.freejaycohen.com/index.html

Also if anyone wants to continue dialogue about this thats totally fine but lets start a new thread in the general section. This is the best thread at Party Riches with probably the best marketing ideas on the entire internet for poker affiliates, let's not pollute it with pages about Jay Cohen.

I don't know what you mean by negative, but the point is simply making an offshore corporation is of no value. Being involved in a Costa Rica corporation has the same liability as being an individual in Chicago.

This has nothing to do with whether you want to promote online poker or not. The point is that the Supreme Court ruled in the Jay Cohen case that offering something legally licensed elsewhere is no defense if the US decides the something is illegal.

It's a waste of time to incorporate offshore. It accomplishes nothing from a legal standpoint.

I understand your position PPP, but for me it has not been a waste of time. In fact it has been very beneficial to me for many reasons I will not mention on this board. End of discussion.

I have been waiting for over a month. I think it might be better to get them printed at Kinko's or do it yourself. I have business gloss paper at home and it really makes the flyer shine.

It took 6-8 weeks to get my Party Cards. In the meantime I went online and found this source for gambling business cards. You can use their templates and print them out your self or have them make them for you. They look great.
