Im lookin for some advice from anyone who runs multiple sites. Im starting 3-4 new sites right now, and need to figure out how I should handle all of the emails I get. With my OhioStatePoker site I have 3 emails that I check each day, and I really dont want to be adding 4-8 more. If you have a bunch of sites, do you forward all of your mail to one inbox? Doesnt sound like a bad idea to me, but I feel like I might get a bunch of the emails confused if the person contacting doesnt specify which site its for....

Let me know your thoughts...

Have them all forward to one email. It makes life much easier.

On the "to:" line it will show who the email was addressed to. For example

I use email for all kinds of different trackign purposes and to sandbox potential spam. For example. I register , and pretty much every other program the same way. Everythign redirects to one email. If I ever have a problem with any specific email I just block it. works really slick.

For sending email from individual domains, just setup seperate profiles in Outlook, so that your mail will come from whatever site you chose.

Hope that helps.

Jason

Micorosoft Outlook, POP3 all the accounts. Very simple for both receiving and sending email.

Jeremy,

What do you mean exactly with outlook?

You can just check all the accounts at the same time from outlook or outlook express and they are in your "in box". I check 10 different accounts every 5 mins... its no big deal.

Each email you open has the address of each account...its not confusing.

Under express just go to Tools... then accounts..then add

Use Mozilla Thunderbird which is a firefox email product. I have 27 different email addresses filtering in to this product. It's very manageable

Great Product honestly

Yeah, I love Thunderbird

Gmail might be the way to go for collaboration? if you need to share data & tasks, its all online.

Has anyone used any of the new GoogleApps? I've read a bit, but haven't had a need to dive into it yet.
I imagine there is a lot of integration between them, gmail etc too.
Supposedly its a full blown office suite & a bunch more cool tools?

I use Entourage (Outlook) on the Mac. Have several email accounts (POP3) and a bunch of rules that places all incoming mails in the right folders.

Works great!

Try Tbird, http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

If you want them all in one? when setting up email accounts, it will ask if you want mail to go to Global Inbox or its own Inbox folder?
Use the Global Inbox.

More secure than Outlook & much nicer IMO
