MIA - The Godfather

Anyone heard from the Godfather lately?? He seems to have gone MIA. Hopefully he is O.K.

yes i would like to know the answer to this question as well... I paid him a good amount of money to have him help me out with my website, as soon as i transfered him the money to his poker account he disapeared from these forums! So if anybody knows anything, I'd appretiate to know where he is as well. The whole situation seems a bit fishy to me. He was someone who made a substantial amount of posts on this forum. I hope nothing bad happened to him. I never would think he would take money and run...

By any chance, did he offer to make logos for your site? I got scammed by a guy offering logos a few months ago. Same M-O. i transferred some money to his poker account. Never saw him again. I didn't think he would run because it wasn't that much money. I know the same guy scammed another affiliate on this site.

he did make a logo for me, the reason i paid him was cuz he got part of my site done for me. Thats why i thought i could trust him. He basically installed my forum for me, and was going to install mambo to my server and design my site for me. After i transfered him the bulk of the money he disapeared.

Very strange this comes up right now.....

I actually contacted him to do some logo work earlier in the month. He actually put a lot of work into it for me, but he wasnt able to come up with what I was looking for, so we kind of put the project on hold. I have since emailed him with an update on where I am at in regards to the logo and I have not heard back from him.

I never paid him any money, but this was simply because we didnt quite get the right look to the logo that I was looking for. We were going to continue when I had some better pictures for him of what I wanted recreated in the logo. Needless to say I havent heard back from this last email I sent him, which was over a week ago.

You never know, could just be on vacation or something.

Maybe they hauled him off for military duty. I remember one episode (his posts were like a soap opera) where Godfather was going to claim that he was psychotic (hee-hee) in order to get out of serving in the military. It does feel a little different around here without him. . .

Try www.sitepoint.com for logo design. You can run a contest there for 10 bucks. Well worth it to have people competing to design your logo.

That is strange. He seemed like a nice guy. I hope he wouldnt do something like that.

He did seem like a very nice person. My guess is that he may have gotten taken away into the Italian military or something.
