Ramsays is definitely in the top 10 also, but Fat Duck usually gets rated a little better. Only problem with Fat Duck is its 30 miles away, so we would need a car. If anyone has eaten at both that would help.

Here is the main list:

Also, this place is supposed to be really good also.. high rating in Zagat, readers choice in worlds best restaurants. And even cheaper then the other 2. http://www.pied-a-terre.co.uk/default.asp?V_ITEM_ID=82

I don't think its being cheap, more a matter of preference on how we like to spend our money. I just look at it this way, when I die would I rather have $250 in my pocket, or say that I ate at some of the best restaurants in the world. Also, some people spend their money on going to sports games and things like that, I prefer to spend my money on going to a really nice restaurant.

We should introduce a "PAW currency".

"I just bought a bottle of wine for 3.45 Mansion RMPs", or "I just bought a Bentley for 2200 Sun RMPs"..

First I think we need to decide between the restaurants... anyone have a preference? Also, would it be logistically possible to even go to Fat Duck (hopefully someone over there that knows distances etc can chirp in on that one)? Lastly, who is in? We may need to do this in another thread or plan to talk on some IM client. I can call the place to book if we decide (or maybe someone in London to save on LD costs).

Default see you all there

hi

see you all there at least for some of it - where is everyone staying ?

I'm 100m away so it's a bit of a toss up how many days I stay down for but obviously the PAW company is far too good to want to commute everyday and not get the social ;-)

if we keep Nick in milkshakes and JD do you think he'll let us take his Bentley for a spin ?

hmm if Nick's driving the Bentley - who's going to be driving his Enzo ?

whats the black tie bit ? damn hope I dont have to dust mine off as it doesnt go with my cap (and I live in that)

Jeremy - I'm a nobody in London town but I can probably get you VIP passes for The Prom Club in Cheltenham - but that would have made that "cabaret joint" in Barcelona look classy - and they rely on the punters to be the slappers rather than booking em

looking forward to it

cheers scrawnybob
