look i know what AP did was wrong etc (i have actually taken them down from all my keypages, just there review remains) im not here defending them, but.....

It seems because they had a cheater, it seems the only thing that would make you guys happy is if AP closed their doors tomorrow.

Do any of you really believe as of today onwards you will have more chance of being cheated at AP compared to all the other poker rooms out there ? I for one dont believe so.

I agree the handling of this was bad by AP, but i would bet everything i owned there has been cheaters at most poker rooms and when the poker rooms found out - they kept it quiet

Why do i think this, because loads the BIG Banks have been hacked in the past and they kept it quiet too - although recently this news has been more mainstream, but its a fact that banks have been hacked and almost blackmailed (well, they say pay us some money and we will tell you how we did it)

i guess what im trying to say is, AP got caught and are being crucified - but i think they are just like any other poker room which would try there hardest to cover it up and i believe most have covered up cheaters in the past who found flaws in their system

I'm not reporting gossip I'm reporting facts. This is the biggest story ever involving online poker. I'm sorry but I have made my main income from the online tables for a good few years and I believe all those who play online poker should be made aware of what is happening.

I will not be promoting Absolute until this nasty mess has all been cleared up but I believe there is a long way to go before it is.

I'm sure you will find when Absolute disclose all the facts that there were a lot more than one cheating account.

Not gossip - I disagree

We are getting reports that Absolute are giving refunds for mtts in which Potripper did not play. This suggests that Absolute have found other cheating accounts. We will post more news as soon as we have it.
Where are your reports coming from? Are the credible or forum gossip? "This suggests" is not fact...can you prove that AP has found more cheating accounts. If so how did you get this info again is it legit. This is gossip.

i agree - but what do you think say pokerstars or partypoker would do if they found cheaters ? Would they try there hardest to cover it up or would they find the cheater and make an annoucment to the whole world saying "we found a cheater and we are giving all money back etc and we assure you this wont happen again" ?

Pokerstars and Party did find cheats who played multiple times in the same mtt and without pressure from forums they suspended the players account and investigated the aclaims of cheating.

Only a monthy or so ago Stars refused to pay out the winner of the WCOOP main event and moved all players up one place as the winner was found to have entered the event muliple times.

The sick fact is that it wasn't just a customer or some low level employee caught cheating, it was the Fckn Senior MANAGEMENT!

The Son of a bitch(es) needs to be throw in jail and the site should be sold to an established trustworthy enity. Period!

It tells me they're trying to make amends.

Not enough for you though is it? You want to kick 'em while they're down.

I still think long term this will be good for online poker and if Absolute come clean then they will survive.
