i second that, had a few laughs on this one... also... if there's a team in india that can do it, you'll only have to pay them $6.50/hr/person so, IF $100,000 was spent on it, you'd employ 7 people full time for a year.... and they still wouldn't produce anything sustainable or worthwhile unless they were headed up by an english speaking team who wanted to slave out the grunt work; of which... honestly can't be done that successfully. though, as it is, i've only had 2 experiences working with teams in india; they're extremely polite, but when it comes down to it, i'd rather work with a jerk that does great work than nice non-english speaking folks that add "search engine friendly urls" with htacess and "semantic re-re-re-re-re-re-hashed spam" in hopes of ranking for a 1 word phrase... regardless of whether or not it's "poker".
all in all, i know i could get in the top 5 pages, if i put my mind to it i could get a client to page 3 or maybe 2, but it'll take a good network of sites (of which do exist) to tackle it and obviously wouldn't be sustainable without great traffic to boot. as it is, there are other domains out there (pokernews.com comes to mind) that would actually deserve a first page ranking for the term BECAUSE there's more to poker than just being able to play it online (read: online poker rooms having a first page ranking) and really, wanting to rank for just "poker" is a little silly imo. there's so much more to the topic.... but yes, i know being on page 1 will make you dollars.
i'm rambling... time to pack for a trip.
