I redesigned my entire site taking into account all the feedback I got on several forums including this one as well as input from friends and partners.

Any feedback on the new version is greatly appreciated.
RakeDrop.com

Thanks,
Jim

Is this just because of the links? The drop menu is a .js pulled from another location. I made sure several of my pages were linked on each page where the robots could read them. Just curious if there is another reason this would be bad?

Most of the time yes, dropdowns are bad, but there is a way to make them good for seo.

I assume mine is okay? Let me know if anyone knows different.
I have another site that has a google page rank of 6 with the drop menu coded the same way but this site is from a different industry and has been online since 97 with lots of marketing into it. If i'm wrong then maybe that page could be a 7 or 8?

Anything on any webpage thats in javascript will not be recognised by search engines.
The links that are on your dropdown menus will not be followed by search engines, neither will the text be read.
Easy site navagation is important however, if you include all your main pages as html links in your home page, then your less important pages linked in html (or other SE compatable code) within those pages, then your whole site will be indexed and it could actually give a better structure to your site as it gets bigger.

p.s I am not an expert by any means but Im sure thats how it is.

Yes exactly drop down menus are no problem , it's javascript. However, you may notice that your less important internal pages do not have as high PR as they would if they were linked from your home page. Your dropdown menus are no problem, just bear in mind they are invisible to SE's.

Oh well I would advise him to change the wording somewhat to stop duplicate penalties.
Pokerlistings are penalising all sites listed with them, as their listings are conviniently in javascript. All sites that exchange links with them get little or actually no value from the exchange, pokerlistings however get a free incoming link, Thats one of the reasons why they rank high, or highest.

Not True at all.. A lot of time was put into writing those reviews. The same areas were reviewed but without reference to pokerlistings.
