Default Thoughts on URL Typos...

Firstly, since as a newby with only a couple of posts - thanks to you experinced folks out there... have been busy soaking up your advice over the past month or so and will soon be ready with my own venture.

Came across mistyped URLs by accident and have since discovered that it is a huge area... almost every variation of each poker room / forum is taken...

My questions are practical ones; presumably the huge majority of visitors quickly realise they have missed and drop you like a hot spud - so are these even worth considering?

Secondly, what about the poker rooms themselves? I understand that they could 'claim' the domain back if they wished - the question is whether this is a one=way ticket to having your affiliate account cancelled.

Be great to gather a couple of opinions - my personal thoughts are that it would be better to put effort into the content side of things.

Cheers, Mark

It is not worth it for all the reasons you stated. It's just not worthwhile to pick up other's scraps when you can build your own sites using that same time. You aren't going to get an amazing poker typo at this point in the game even if you sat there for hours anyhow.
