In regards to putting sign up codes in books ither at the library or book store, has anyone done this and had some results? Im going to do a offline blitz this week.

What does everyone think the best option for the books is:
- partys bonus cards
- your own bookmark
- id cards stuck inside
- stickers
- stamps

My opinion is this.

Why don't you put your website address (www.niagarapoker.com) on the cards?

When people go to your website, offer a free report about poker in exchange for their email address.

Then promote any and all affiliate codes/deals that you get for online poker rooms, as well as an other poker-related affiliate products that you promote (books through Amazon, poker calculators, poker ebooks, etc) through email communications with them.

With this method, you control the relationship and gain multiple opportunities to turn the prospect into a customer, not just the one and done approach of putting your bonus code on the cards.

Why not start your on Local Poker league in bars. Free to enter for all players (that way not violating any laws) Charge the bar owners a small fee to bring it all in their bar.

Like a previous post stated get your chips stamped with your URL.

Have little goodie bags with promo stuff inside (Possible ad revenue from advertisers)

Get table top card tables with your URL on them

Name it your URL Free Hold 'em Tour.

Get some plaques made up for the winner

I am sure you can think of some more

My first original idea just came to me - as I was taking out my trash (hehe) I see a shopping cart sitting next to the dumpster, what about putting stickers on either the seat of the shopping cart or some places have a little ad thing on the end of them - oh better yet - a real skinny sticker put on the handle of the shopping cart - think about it, people use shopping carts EVERY DAY. Let me know what you guys think.
(Dang I gotta get paid so I can order some stickers\a printer :P )

In regards to the book stragety I checked my local library and they have have almost no books on poker. So im wondering, would it be worth it to buy some books and put some codes etc in the middle or front/back covers and "donate" the book to the library? Theres also a program where libraries around here loan books to other libraries if they dont have it and anyone requests a certin title, so any book i donate could be used at other libraries. What do you guys think? Im thinking someone who is reading a book on poker is a better player or wants to be a better player and therefore will generate more rake for me
