Is there a market in China?

[Kyle]

I have a few buddies teaching english in Beijing right now... They really want me to hook them up with some Business cards with bonus codes so we could split the profits. Do you think there is a market in China? Or is their internet too censored?

Hi,

The problem with China is that they don't use much electronic banking or credit cards, so the potential market is fairly thin.

It's only fairly recently that Visa starting to get into China. You may find it is ok in the Beijing and Shanghai.

I'm in Shanghai right now but wouldn't recommend anyone promoting gambling here, especially as a foreigner.

Severe punishment and/or deportation is a real possibility.

A lot of gambling sites such as Titan Poker, Pacific Poker etc are actually blocked totally by the great chinese firewall and can not be accessed from here at all.

Thanks for the input, just as I figured. I'll tell them they're on their own and pass on your warnings.
