Advertising Question

Hey, we're thinking about selling some advertising on our site to get some funds together. We want to increase our sites traffic and think we can use the money wisely to do that. We've never done this before though, so we need some help.

My first question is about home page links vs site wide links. Do site wide links hurt you much more for Google? I'm assuming site wide links sell for a bit more than just home page.

Next, what is a PR3, 3 month old site home page link worth monthly? Also, what would a site wide link be worth monthly? Estimates would be great.

We have about 50 pages of content, and are averaging 60 uniques per day this month, but the past few days we've averaged right under 100.

By the way, we're planning on selling ten links, and placing them at the bottom of our site, either above the blue bar or inside it. (Site link is in sig)

You can get an estimate of what regular text links would be worth by using this tool.

Sitewide links aren't going to be of much value on your site right now because those links probably won't be getting much traffic exposure anyway so you could probably only sell homepage links for some exposure and seo value.

Homepage text box ads would probably be your best bet to get more cash.

That link price thingy is really innacurate. I checked a few authority sites who charge $500-$1000 and more per month, and it's saying they're only worth $17-$30. I wish I could buy a sitewide link on google for $60,000.

Like any tool its just used to get an estimation. Also it gives different values depending on if you use www or not or not so that might be the big discrepency you are seeing.
