Link Tracking Question...

Hey I saw pokersourceonline.com has "affiliates" kinda for his own site. Other people promote his site with banners, poker gifts, and i see the links are tracking codes. For instance this one guy at xhttp://pokerstuff.freeservers.com has these types of links, and I guess pokersource online gives him credit for the players that he signs up through via his own personal tracking links. Is there anyway I could get links like this? So people can promote my promotion, and I could give them credit for each person that they got to sign up through a tracking link? Does anyone have any insight on this? I feel like this could be something really good for my promotion. Any help would be much appreitated...

It just means creating your own affiliate program, with link tracking capabilities. There are lots of ways to do this, which is both good and bad if you are starting from scratch.

ok well i got more info on this, and I am considering doing this, starting my own affiliate program for this xbox promotion that I am running. My question is, it doesnt make sense to sign up for it, if I am not going to have awesome affiliates like you guys to help promote it for me. If I offered something like 75 bucks per sign up, would people be willing to promote this on their site. ask yourself if it would be worth it for you to give away $75 per sign up + 40% rakeback + xboxes? PSO give $10-$15 for sign up and for sure they earn alot more comission than you do.

i'd probably use an affiliate program for selling software, ebooks, or services, but to advertise online poker rooms search engine optimization is the most productive route for me.
