OK, I see my last thread was deleted. This is not my house, so I will respect the rules of the mods.

I just want to add a last comment without mentioning any names.

First, I want to apologize to the community for making the last public copyright thread. As some of you have mentioned, this was better handled through PM. In my defense, those photographs cost us thousands of dollars and we've had to deal with many infringers recently.

Second, I also want to apologize to the webmaster for making that public thread.

You said you bought the pictures from someone else without knowing about their origins. Well, that happens to even the most careful webmasters, so that's something we all have to look out for.

You have since removed the infringing pictures. So thank you and I hope no hard feelings.

We really shouldn't be fighting against each other (my fault, again, as I started out sort of belligerent). Our common enemy is really the person who sold you those pictures.

He infringed our copyright and cheated YOU out of money and exposed YOU to legal risk.

I know you said you're not going to rat him out, but if you ever change your mind, let me know.

Have to agree with daniels25 statement.

If someone cheats you out of money by selling you photos which isn't his then you should definately "rat him out" to the correct copyright holders. I don't buy that story at all. Most pathetic thing I've ever heard on these forums.

onlinepokercenter, I recommend you to waterstamp all the photos with your URL in a fairly big size, that will make people less likely to steal them.

The watermark sounds like good advice, Markus. Thanks.

I appreciate everyone's comments and support.

Out of respect to Jeremy, Randy, and the webmaster involved, I will not speculate on whether the purchase story was fictional or not.

The only facts I know are (1) the pictures belonged to us and (2) they have been removed from the website.

The poker affiliate world is a pretty small one compared to other circles like Amazon or Porn. So I don't want to start off on this website with the wrong foot (which I think I have).

We will conduct all our copyright enforcements in private from now on and spare you guys this Junior High drama. Again, apologies to all and I hope the other webmaster accepts my apologies as well.

The first rule of BBOT is -- you do not talk about BBOT.

Perhaps I've already said too much ......
