In PartyPoker's affiliate section they say they'll supply you with promotional materials like business cards and fliers.
Do they charge you for these?
I've emailed them a couple of times asking about this, and get no responce.
I'll get a print shop to make some for me if I have to.
Do any of you have any experience with handing out cards and fliers?
How much did they cost you, and was it worth the effort?
Buy the way Jeremy's e-book has some awesome ideas and examples on how to promote online poker affiliate programs offline with banners, cards and fliers.
Why wont Party answer my emails, f..k those guys are slow sometimes!

Dave,
Thanks for the kind words about the book. I have always told people it is not rocket science. I just diversified my promotions and tried several different things. Really if you can just emulate a few examples that I shared in the book you will be on your way to success.
Now regarding Party's support, I have found it is best to call them on the 800 number. They are very slow to respond to even my emails. It doesn't help either that most of them are foreign.
I'm glad you started this post about Party's marketing material. All of this stuff is absolutely free. This material is so under used by most affiliates. You can print out business cards with your bonus codes, you can burn CD's, get emails, ect.
I have used every piece of their marketing material with some success at different points in my career. I have also had my own pieces made up for some different niche campaigns that I have done.
Regarding fliers and business cards. I have found they work better if you niche them towards the area your promoting.
For example if your a college student at Texas A&M, you may want to put on the fliers "The Official Poker Room of the Texas Aggies" versus just handing out fliers for Party Poker.

So Jeremy you're saying that PartyPoker will sent me cards and fliers absolutely free?
All I want, or need?
But the best way to get players to sign up locally, is to customize them to a local niche, and have a print shop make them for me and pay for them myself?
I live in a college town, about 10,000 students, and I was checking out their website yesterday and I see they have a poker club!
Poker really is popular everywhere these days, especially with the college aged crowd.
I hear kids talking about poker even standing in line at the video store and grocery check out! Thank you ESPEN, Brovo and TSN.
Iv'e been playing poker since I was 10...... 32 years ago and I'm still in shock to how the world has gone poker crazy these past few years.
I'll never forget the first time I logged onto PlanetPoker 7 years ago and was able to play poker for real money, with people from all over the world.
It brought tears to my eyes.
These young kids don't know how lucky they are to be living in these times.
We had to fly to Las Vegas or Atlantic City to play poker in a casino !

My old affiliate manager would send me as many flyers as I wanted that had my bonus codes printed on them. In fact he shipped me 10,000 of them on a few different occassions.
My new affiliate manager needs to get on the ball. I asked he send me some business cards with my codes on them, and he said he would send some, but wasnt able to have my codes printed on them. He sent me 50 cards! lol. I assume they arent very expensive to have printed, so I will just do it myself.

I usually just make my own marketing material but I do know if you call your affiliate manager with your ideas they will try to support you as much as possible. Good Luck!

In the sticky thread on brainstorming there was an idea to place your cards with bonus codes in all the poker books at your local bookstore. This is probably one of the better offline advertising ideas I have heard in a while. Just thought I'd put it here as well. Since the topic is Cards and Fliers
