Most of the CPA terms are quite fair and work to the advantage of good affiliates. Common sense should always prevail in these scenarios, and it usually does.
The larger affiliates would be none to pleased if a cardroom changed its terms to read something like "Player must accumulate rake that is equal to or greater than the amount of CPA being paid". This is obviously because there is a give and take here. There will be some players that have rake less than the CPA amount but greater than the requirements and there will be others that far exceed them, and affiliates expect to get paid for both of these groups. They should and do get paid for both groups so long as their overall player values remain reasonable. If an affiliate continually sends trash players who barely meet CPA requirements, then obviously they should not get paid.
Being an affiliate partner is exactly that, being a partner. It does not mean trying to take advantage of certain terms and conditions in an agreement, as that is not what good partners do.
