JacksNQueens? Trying to get my $1,000 back...

Hello all,

As some of you may know, JacksNQueens was supposed to be an innovative new poker room that featured webcams for all players. To be one of the privileged 250 affiliates, you had to pay a $1,000 fee. At the time when I signed up in August 2006, it seemed like a legitimate poker room with numerous press releases on different sites about how they were going to change online poker, blah, blah, blah. Now they seem to have dropped off the face of the earth. Website is down, can't contact their VP of Marketing (Blake Vantrees, who made several posts here up until March of this year) via email or phone.

Needless to say, I'd like to have that $1,000 back.

Does anyone here have any contact information for anyone affiliate with JacksNQueens? I've tried the phone number that I had for Blake, just get some strange voicemail message that doesn't seem to be for him. I've tried the email addresses that I had for him, but their domain is down and don't even go through.

Is there any recourse that us fool-hardy affiliates can take to get our grand back?

I think your pretty much stuck and the chances of getting that back are less than 1%.

Uh you had to pay the $1000? You got screwed Justin - Blake, the affiliate manager even posted on these forums that they waived the $1k investment

I hate to see you lose your $1,000. What a terrible business decision that was from them. Accepting your money, before launching is down right criminal.

I never understand their business plan cutting off the total number of affiliates. It obviously showed they have never been in the industry before. Limiting affiliates is like limiting how many players can play on your site at one time, it just makes no sense. And to actually ask for $1000 from the affiliates is unbelievable.

If anyone else has contact info, please pass it along as I would hate to see someone lose out on this. There might be more reading who paid as well.

Actually, I had not thought of that. If we could find a large group of people who paid than while still a long shot there does become some more options.

I'm pretty sure the fee was waived for most (i had thought, all) here though.

Dont think anyone paid as they never asked for the money upfront , they aid if you did not send them at least 250 players in the first 6 months , then you had to give the $1000 - $4 per player you did send , to be an affiliate .

Good idea thou , set up a bullshit page and affiliate program , then tell affiliates there limited to the first 250 who pay a grand each ,, make a quick quarter million and disappear
