So much for Wordpress - any advice?

[corpfan1]

I went to write a blog today and it says my Wordpress account has been suspended for violations of Terms of Service.

Now, I just started this blog recently and had only made a couple of posts and they were about the Absolute Poker Scandal and about my website.

So, I am really not sure why the blog was suspended. I included a couple of affiliate links...are they not allowing affiliate links anymore?

I post this for 2 reasons:

1) Warning people who might invest in templates for wordpress etc... so they don't get screwed later on.

2) Any advice on where to go from here? Better blog sites? Other options? How to reinstate my account? Supposedly support there is useless as they didn't even tell me my blog was suspended.

Thanks!

Host your WP blog yourself

Then you have no problems

I hate to say I told you so

"I'd recommend hosting the blog on your own domain."

Are there no Terms of Service if you do it on your own site?

Can't they still disable your account?

I don't really get how all this works.

Thanks!

No - You install the Wordpress software (free) on your server.

If your host has cPanel it is easy to do using Fantastico.

Just put it in a subdirectory on the site you want the blog to be :

DO I own all the content then? Or can Wordpress still have any say in anything?

How exactly does that work?

And, yes I have Cpanel and Fantastico. They include Wordpress and Feedburner.

Thanks for any info in advance.

Corp,
You can modify it all you want and use it how you want on your site with no concern.

Thanks! That sounds good.

Now, the next question is, what is a solid template out there for a poker blog?

Any seriously awesome recommendations? Free or purchase.

[Bryan]

Ok. Obviously I'm biased, but I here are some of the best premium ones out there IMHO.

Enjoy!

With 2 seconds work you can make any of these more "poker" related.
