Question HELP!! Site Review & Advice Much Needed

Hi There
I'm pretty new to all this, so some advice would be much appreciated! My sites been going now for about 6 months - and it's becoming the bain of my life! I was so excited about it- launched it - and am now become ever more despondant . . .
The Reason . . .? I'm getting up to 2000 hits a day on some days, but nothings converting! I know the site needs some work - and would SOOOOOOOO much appreciate any much needed wisdom from anyone who cares to offer some!

Thanks for your time

You site is to wide I am having to scroll over. I also think that maybe your audio is slowing it down as when I try to scroll down it is pausing alot. IMO I would get rid of this, you may be getting hits but speaking for myself I would leave almost immediatly.

Is that your blog? Both site and blog look nice Just the delay is not the greatest

My first impression was that it's too busy. Didn't seem like there was anything special to it, special meaning that it stands from the rest. And it seemed like it was mostly consisted of black and white. Loved your review formats.

There is alot of work to do on this site. Firstly the colour scheme is all over the place and the layout is a mess. Get a colour scheme and stick to it. Sort a layout out so it runs from one section to the next with a flow.

Too much white. Like you've got the black border...then you've a white container that holds another container that has your content. I'd just expand the content to fill up the one main container. I'd also change the black background - get something textured - like example is these forums here with the textured background, and just the one main content holder in the center.

Top nav bar needs to be worked on. I mean - you have four links like this:

Home
Mini Reviews
Poker Rooms
Poker Directory

Thats four small text links - and look at the space they take up! Spread em out across the width of that all on one line, or slide them to the side along with your content.

Also the index page IMO is just too busy. Look at everything - news....video...promos on the right...promos on the left...it gives no real focus for a serious visitor, and can be overwhelming. Simplicity is the key.
