If we have seen anything in the last 50 years it is cover-ups are almost always worse than the crime. AP's lame initial replies were worse than the cheating (if in fact the cheating was done by an employee, but the coverup was not worse if it was done by the owner). Not talking about this is as bad as talking about it like a bunch of hysterics.
This is something that should be addressed, discussed, not hidden, serve as a warning, act as a reminder that players and affiliates have to be vigilant, and so on. Thoughtfully addressing it is what is good for the business. Rantingly addressing it or stonewalling it are not.

I think this post makes a good point. No matter what the press says, the customer is always going to make their own decision. I think the best thing to do would be to leave AP on your site, but inform your visitors of what is going on. Let the visitors make their own decisions. That beats dropping them totally.

Agreed, if you choose to continue promoting AP/UB you should at least make your users aware of AP's reputation.

This is probably the best idea. What I'm thinking about doing is adding an asterik next to AP links which go to a page talking about what happened. I'd like to wait until the whole story is out first.

I have updated www.potripper.co.uk with the latest news including a recording of the Rounders Poker Radio Show which covers the story in great detail. All affiliates should listen to this show.
It is great to see that Absolute are refunding players who played in other mtts where cheating occured from other accounts.
I think at last Absolute have got there act together and I still think in the long run this will be good for poker.

The most peculiar thing i've seen so far is P5s dropping Absolute but keeping up UB. It's the same company, hello. Are they naughty when they answer the AP phone, but nice when they answer the UB one? Either drop them or don't, but half drop them?
