Exclamation Sportsbook.com WARNING!

In case affiliates here are not aware Sportsbook.com as well as other sites on their network (example: Linesmaker, PlayersOnly etc) have recently stole a confirmed $280,000 from 31 players and the actual amount likely exceeds $1,000,000.

What happened is that they went back and took back 6 weeks worth of winning wagers resulting from correlated parlays.

Its pretty standard in this industry that sportsbooks themselves are responsible for deciding what parlays they do not wish to accept and have their software block them.

There is no way that going back 6 weeks and reversing winning bets is anything other than steeling.

Even Eog.com who is known as being a major shill site recommending anyone who will pay them a buck has taken down ads that relate to any sportsbook.com product. They took down and add for sportsbetting.com who was one of their sponsors as well.
The remaining funds from the advertising contract are being held in a player relief fund where they will be paid out to the stiffed accounts in Sportsbook.com does not rectify the problem.

If you're not familiar with this situation go to SBR, EOG, RX or any other bigger sports betting forum and search on it.

I expect that a lot more sites will be pulling SB.com associated ads in the coming days as there is a huge backlash in sports betting communities and forum regulars are demanding that sites remove them. Its causing so much bad press for the sites that even big shill sites like EOG have stepped up and pulled the ads.

This is really disappointing for me also because Sportsbook.com even with warnings about slow payouts on the reviews and mediocre ratings on my rating guides still made me low 4 figures per month in revenue but I feel I have not much other choice then to remove them from my sites at this time.

Anyways figured I would give people a heads up now as this one is starting to get a TON of press now.

Sportsbook.com books have always been on the shadier side but now that they are outright thieves promoting them is a huge disservice to any sites visitors.

Here is my own quick summary with a list of the associated sites:
http://sportsbookprop.com/2007/10/sportsbook-theft/

The threads are ALL over the place. Like most forums will have 10+ threads on the subject so it would be helpful to search them.

Here are some links:

It first popped up here:
http://forum.sbrforum.com/players-ta...-thievery.html

It then popped up here on EOG
http://forums.eog.com/online-sportsb...rs-104591.html

There were tons of threads on TheRX about it but their management is in Bed with Sportsbook.com owned books and has deleted and burried threads. They keep popping up though because this is such a hot topic over their.

EOG who has a history of advertising whoever will pay them shady or not made an announcement today that they are removing sportbetting.com from their sponsored list and has set aside the remainder of that advertising balance to go into a player relief fund.
Here is the official sticky:
http://forums.eog.com/online-sportsb...ge-104982.html

There are many many threads on SBR including a long standing 6,000 post slow pay thread about Sportsbook.com which have tons of player complaints about these books. but he is one where SBRJohn asks for players opinion on the theft:

http://forum.sbrforum.com/players-ta...com-theft.html

KEEP in mind these sportsbooks have 600+ employees and use shills to post on these forums and defend their company while posing as regulars so you'll find some ridiculous defenses with most scams. Shills are all over sports betting forums and its how scams are so successful in this industry.

I'm sure other forums such as TOW will have plenty on this also but the best places to start would be EOG and SBR for uncensored discussion on the topics, then TheRX who defended BOS right to the grave and even offered enticement bonuses etc when BOS was in no stiff mode by personally guaranteeing all deposits - A guarantee that has still gone unpaid.

SBR gives all of the books in that group a D or worse. They get tons of complaints.

BetUSA got themselves a C- rating now by doing something that took major balls. They stood up and said that their host is wrong and that has outright stolen from its clients, there posts pretty much bashed sportsbook.com. BetUSA uses sportsbook.com support, cashier and everything else but has stepped up and refunded all their clients who were effected by this sportsbook.com thievery.

This network has always been shady and has many complaints of players being stiffed and BetUSA has their own poor history, but kudos to them for doing the right thing today and at least starting to show major signs of improvement.

Also good job by SBR for acknowledging them for that by bumping their rating to C- as that takes major balls to speak out against the parent operator publicly.

BTW I am almost crying as I remove these guys from sites and drop their ratings right now. I was always honest about them in my reviews but still managed to make $1200-$1500 per month anyways from them. Throwing away $18,000 per year in income is so hard to swallow right now but I feel like and F'n accomplice if i don't take them down.
This is not like AP where there is some doubt that it was an inside job as it could of been a former employee or an elaborate hacker or a sabotage job. Here the proof is right on in the open the Sportsbook.com went back 6 week and outright stole a confirmed $280,000 from clients and the total is likely much higher.
In the past I've seen a few jobs like this where the numbers took 30 days to gather all the account details to see how much the true damage is. When its $280K this fast I have to guess its over a million they stole.
Its very very likely I will be pulling AP in the coming days too in the coming days but that one I need to discuss with my partners when they get back from Vegas. for now I've buried them and taken off any banner and front page advertising on my main sites.
All this shit really really sucks!

I'm going to pull my SportsBook.com Poker ads soon if I don't get paid - it's been 3 months since I received a wire transfer from them :S

If it's been 3 months since you got paid, you're 2 months too late on pulling them. What are you waiting for? You know the saying 'fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me'. What do they say about fooling you 3 times?
