If you could give one peice of advice......
Although these types of posts have been made before, our industry seems to change every few months.
So for you veterans and experienced poker affiliates out there, what is the one most valuable piece of advice you would give to a new affiliate starting out in this industry?
I think posts like this are great for stirring up some good discussions and sharing each others knowledge

Website Structure!!!!!!!!!!!! That was my biggest mistake when first starting out, I didn't understand the concept of folders and directories resulting in pages like mysite.com/onlinepokerreviews.com instead of mysite.com/poker/reviews/, then putting each review in the review folder. You end up with 300 pages in your root folder with a big mess.

Find a mentor.
Befriend someone who it already accomplishing what you want to achieve, and ask them questions continuously.
Online marketing requires so many different skills, that most newbies waste months, or even years spinning their wheels trying to learn everything by trial and error.
That's why so many people give up before the make any real money.
They become frustrated and feel overwhelmed.
Even the ones who do eventually succeed by pure, super-human willpower could have saved themselves a ton of time and stress if they had just found themselves a good mentor in the first place.

To borrow as much money as you can and buy out all of the domains, websites, and databases that the quitters are selling. Get in now because when they regulate it is going to be tougher (and much more profitable).

Don't waste money on a fancy template that's just going to load slow and screw up your SEO efforts. Worry more about the quality of your content than how "pretty" your website is.
As Brett Tabke put it, simple is retrocool.

If you are new to building websites and affiliating, think of it as more of a hobby rather than a job. Don't force yourself to work overly hard and expect to see results, thats the way to frustration and disappointment.
Enjoy the time you spend building your site, and take any profits as they come.

Reinvest your money. Once you start seeing a little profit...put it back in through forms of advertising, something new for the site anything that will make an improvement. Even though $100 seems like nothing every little bit counts towards improvement in the long run.

I'm with Randy on the point that spending too much time making your site pretty is a recipe for disaster.
I started off and still am in the process of trying to break myself of this habit. Instead of making things look good, make the site readable and have content worth reading.

The most important advice I would give is "start with the end in mind".
If you know where you want to end up and believe you'll get there it becomes much more likely you will.
After that is really understood then there are plenty of important how to's but those don't matter much till a person is already committed seeing the end result through.
