It will stay huge for 10 years.

I was referring to the fact that WPT viewers are down. So far WSOP online interest seems strong. We will have to how televised viewing goes. People now see results online and do not want to wait months to find out on late night ESPN who won. ESPN needs to pull their heads out and put together a better schedule and figure this thing out. They are going to loose so many viewers as fans just go online and figure it all out live rather than waiting like in years past.

Online poker has not changed. Players are just not coming from watching poker on TV like they did in the millions when the WPT came along.

Like Kaus said. I see a lot more people saying poker on TV is boring. These people used to be TV poker viewers.

A great show in the UK called Poker Night Live has recently been pulled off the air. It was also shown in Canada and a few other places, not sure exactly where though. The show basically involved showing live hands from the internet as they were played (with 10 minute delay to keep it fair) and the pro poker playing presenters would comment on the hands as they were played, giving their advice.

This was an amazing show, and kicked the shit out of every other poker show out there as far as I'm concerned. I know for a fact that people would watch it religously every night, and I learned a hell of a lot from it over the years. But anyways, they started to spend more money producing the show than they were making in the end and there wasnt enough people watching to keep it running, and so it was axed last month.

Its a great shame because it was such a fantastic show. But it highlights how poker on TV is becoming less popular than it once was. At least I was lucky enough to have been able to watch it whilst it was around.

I would really be suprised if it got any harder to post money to a betting account. I would feel that the opposition is please with the results and that they do not feel the need to put more pressure on the US banking sector.

I am really confident that we have seen the worst of it.

I think over time it will get a little better.
