While that may not be violating copyright law, the combination of that video where they shame somebody for stealing from them is pretty bad for them PR-wise.
Should you not post details of the contract P/news paid to get?
On TV we have live football contracts. that applies to live broadcasting in our own country. Other countries also broadcast. Yahoo do a live commentary. I dont know who pays for what. Bloggers will be doing daily updates + many poker sites with forums.
It really comes down to what rights you paid for within the contract

My own feeling is as long as they acknowledge their source then is prolly okay. Obviously there is a $$ value attached to the "exclusive rights" and in the absence of a financial agreement then the free advertising and backlinks shoudl definitely be clealry displayed.
Bluff are doing the same but with a "Powered By" acknowledgement.

Bluff actually bought the rights, and contracted with poker news to do the work... so basically Bluff and Poker News are "official" while everybody else is not.
CardPlayer has contacted PokerNews and agreed to follow the guidelines of the WSOP and Harrahs in media reporting of tournament events and not use any of PokerNews’ live blogging reports. CardPlayer has also agreed to meet with me when I come to Vegas - that will be within about two weeks.
