Business Cards Questions

[sooty]

Do you guys go for a UV coating with your business cards? Or does it look tacky and not worth doing? I would like to know based on your experiences which is the more effective marketing-wise.

thanks

My common sense tells me that the location you put your business cards/flyers is 10 times more important than any twinkling design you might come up with. Just keep the quality above toliet paper.

But what do I know? I never had any success with this kind of promotion.

Yeah, all things being equal, the glossy UV coating is about 20% more.

Could it make the difference? I'd like to know if anyone has tested...

I figure if it makes your card look better, than people will be more likely to hold on to it and look at it more. I don't know if it is ture, I just know it is true with me.
