Thumbs down Stolen Content

I happened upon this forum and there are 100's if not 1,000's of stolen strategy articles, news articles, reviews....ect. A few members here definitely have some of their content there.

Here is the offending site: xhttp://www.poker10000.com

They've just removed a load of forums while I was looking through.

Nice 1 NPG - that did the trick.

lol that was fast...they really had 1000+ stolen articles and such in their forum and very few real posts...i noticed quite a few with 100's of views so they must be getting decent traffic?..Can having a massive amount of copy/paste content from other sites really drive in traffic? Is it different because its a forum instead of a standard html site?

The forum will count all views whether they are new or not. I wouldnt think he would get that much traffic from those articles, and his URLs for the forum are messed up anyway

Ya, but he's ranking for a lot of stuff..here's an example, look at the 2nd listing ( pot limit omaha hi-low myths):

http://www.google.com/search?q=site:...&start=30&sa=N

He is #5 for that term (very obscure term but just an example):

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...hs&btnG=Search

Multiply this by the 1000's of different pages they stole and all the different longtail keywords those articles rank for. They should never be the 1st result but should still get a bunch of traffic if I looking at this whole thing right.

Not knocking or anything but that term only shows 387 results meaning it would be easy for anyone to rank for it I would think. I would be more concerned of other sites being hurt than what he ranks for....my netovous tag for the bookmark I did for you ranks on that page. I very much doubt that he would rank for anything taht would amount to a whole lot of traffic

lol he can delete his forum all he wants but he cant wipe out the google cache lol

I see they are advertising Cake on there. Maybe we can get Snenaz (sp)To kick his off their network. I hope they wouldn't support an affiliate with stolen content..
