 The value of certian backlinks?
I was wondering what thew value is with doing a two-way link exchange with a PR-0 site? Poker.com offers a link exchange tool that I can get 100's of exchanges(almost all PR-0 sites with limited content) but is that better than buying 10 links at respected PR-4 sites? Thanks for the input.

Well if those pr0 sites end up developing it *might* be a good long term investment, however most of the time exchanges or one-ways from pr4+ sites is the way to go.
Most of the time those free exchange tools and mass directory submitters are worthless.
If you have the money, spend it.

So what do you consider to be an authority site?
High PR?
Lots of pages with content?
Highly ranked in the SE's (even if it is a pr 0)?

Doing a link exchange with a site NOT indexed by Google is more than just a waste of your time...

This is true, although not so much in the poker affiliate industry. In fact I'm not sure there are any PR7+ poker affiliate sites out there to exchange links with. I'd say getting a PR5 or PR6 link from another poker related site would be a real solid link.

Ive found some nice pr5-6 poker sites to link with, but yeah your right jeremy, finding a PR7 is next to impossible in terms of poker affiliate sites.
If your were talking poker in general it would be a whole nother story.
flopturnriver.com is one of the few pr7's, hell even pokerpages is only pr6, in fact after looking into it, it seems most of the major poker sites are only pr6...

Ok so if you had a choice which would you pick?
A. 1 link from pokerpages
or
B. 50 links from a mix of pr-0's,pr-1',subdomains,blogs...ect...but nothing over pr3

That's a really tough question and I'd have to say it really depends on the quality of those links. If it's gonna be 50 crapshoot banner farms then I'll take the pr6 link from pokerpages, but if there is 50 high quality pr3 sites then I go the other way.
