Default eveyone selling no one buying..

Hi i have seen everyone is trying to sell there sites as the competition is tough. But know one is buying. These sites are worth thousands but you are lucky to get a few hundred unless your willing to hold it for a few months and make it a mission to serach down a buyer.

Market seems to be full and it is a shame for the people that put work into these site but get nothing in return. Good luck in your search but i just dont see people paying $1000 or up for poker sites anymore.

what do other ppl think?

I can tell you that people are still buying sites, myself included. Often times though when a person is selling a site.....well there is a reason. Usually it is not making money. I personally would not spend $1000 on a site just because of its potential. I can create my own potential.

I would however spend $10K on a site that was ranking well and consistently sending RMP's each month.

Not to say the sites listed here are not making money, many are. I like to see more comprehensive info listed though in respect to revenue and stats than I usually see in marketplace or exchange forums.

There are buyers, I had a lot of interest in a site I had for sale recently.

It just depends on the site for sale

Yes thats my view too, most of the sites for sale are not getting any real money players and thats what makes a site valuable not really the design etc - you could get the best design for a poker portal from some company that charge $50k a day with a team of 10 people working on its looks - it would still be worthless to me.

the design, content etc is the easy part, getting RMP is another story

so if anyone has a site that gets a min of 30 RMP a month - pm me

You could also buy a site that is getting RMP and if you do nothing but let the site sit you will eventually lose your rankings. Point is that whether you buy a site that has excellent rankings or a new site with no rankings, you still have to put the work into it, so i guess the question is, how much do you want to spend on a site, if your budget is low, but you have a ton of time on your hands you would buy a less exspensive site, if you have fat pockets, and just want to recoup your money as fast as possible you would go for the more established sites, then just hire someone to keep your site ranking high. That is just my opinion.......

They are only worth $1,000's if they are making $1,000's. Buyers look at (ROI) when purchasing or mergers. If this was the case I would have been a Millionare several times over with some of the prime names and ideas I have. Just no capital to work them and just wait for open offers.

Buyers look beyond simple return on investment these days. There are many intrinsic reasons in buying a website. I bought a poker joke website last year and don't have a single ad on it, and yes, there is a method to my madness.

Nice purchase. I had tried buying that and the seller never responded to my inquiries.
