How do you figure out what your site is really worth?
I know of a few ways to figure out what a certain business is worth/can sell for, but this doesnt seem to work the same way with online gambling websites since there is much different types of risk involved.
For example, if you have a poker website that generates $5 million in revenue annually which turns into a 200k+ profit per year how can you figure out what this website would sell for if it was put up for sale?

Really I think there is no way to tell. It's whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
But if you can prove that a new buyer will make X amount of $ then you can figure a few months investment into it most of the time. Some say 10 month investment. That all depends on the buyer though.

Here is one of the most popular site value tools:
http://www.dnscoop.com
It says my top 3 sites are worth $11,000, $382, $391.
I wouldn't sell them for that.
The best way to find out what anything is worth is to put it on eBay. Take your time making a nice presentation of it and throw it on there.

Alright Ebay I think is a scam....bno offense but I think there is more worthless shit on ther than anywhere else.
Also I don't think dnscoop is all that accurate. They are looking at the domain value not site value and use their own methods fo r calculating.
interesting anyway

The estimated value of http://www.poker.com is: $9,733,058
This value is calculated based on several factors shown above, including: Links, Traffic (Alexa), age of the domain, site category, domain keyword popularity, and overall occurrences of the domain name on the web |

I can see your point about dnscoop. It is automated and has no idea how much business those sites do, but it is a decent indicator...
But, saying that ebay is a scam...c'mon man. It's the biggest market place in the world. And it really is the best place to find the value of almost anything.

Sure yu can find value but unless it's something I can't get elsewhere than no I wont bother.
You can't tell me its not loaded with alot of useless garbage by a bunch of craker jacks looking for a quick buck. IMO

i guess that little line of text throws that one out of the boat, theres no way pokerstars is worth that little
and i think poker.com the domain itself got sold for $11,000,000 did it not?
Leaves me feeling pretty sketchy about all these sort of sites
