I've spent the last few months learning how to build traffic, and I think I've finally got the hang of it. I'm getting solid traffic numbers everyday, but have realized that I'm fairly clueless as to how I turn that traffic into sign ups ($$$). Any general tips or resources you can point me to would be much appreciated. I'm working on doing some redesigns on my site so I can incorporate any ideas I get here.
Thanks!

Traffic to $$$? that's the magic of the poker industry.
Here is the first rule to get players that convert. (All random examples)
If a person types in "Phil Ivey Bio" Into Google and gets your site you have a very small chance that this player is going to click some random banner and go sign up for a room and then actually turn into a player and ake you any $
If a player types in "Full Tilt Poker Review" into Google and gets your site and you have a nice, clean review about FTP then you are maybe 50/50 to get that player to sign up and play.
If a player types "Party Poker Bouns Code" and gets your site your chances are much higher that this person just downloaded party and is signing up but thinks they need a bonus coed so goes and searches google and puts your bonus code in.
If a player type in "Where to play WSOP Satellites" and get's your nice, clean page of the lists of room that are allowing these and have a review and bonus code and everything they need you are just as likely as the above to get a new player.
No one is going to just search for how to play razz, find your site and randomly click a Carbon poker banner up top and start playing and make you money. Traffic needs to be specific. While you do need ALL the organic hits you can get, you still need specific keywords to improve your chances at getting player to sign up.
WOW! tha was a rant...

RCNastermind - obviously this is not a "Oh well since you have the traffic, just do this...." kind of thing. We have to know a lot more. For example is the traffic to the index page of your site? To specific pages? Where are the traffic coming from? If it's from search engines - what keywords are most common? Also once they get to your site - what are they doing? These are just a couple of the many, many questions you should be asking yourself
If you're not comfortable posting about it feel free to PM me and I can see what I can do to help.
