Right or wrong, it comes down to a moral argument.
US players cannot be trusted to control their gambling urges.
You could make a similar argument with cannabis & smoking.
Cannabis is considered a recreational & social drug & is probably less addictive than gambling but is illegal in most countries.
Smoking is legal & has fewer social benefits than either & is considered more harmful than both.
Freedom of choice is a flimsy argument because you only have to go to GA or NA to find an argument condeming such choice.
Prohibition might seem wrong to everyone here who makes money affiliating but may seem appealing to the woman who's husband has no self control & blows his savings & has to sell their home.
Yeah for the majority it is just a recreational passtime but for others it is an addiction. I think the issue is the way they have gone about it, not the fact that it is happening.
Laws are man made & as Americans you vote on who makes the choices for you. That is your freedom of choice. If you dont like the sneaky way they passed through the bill, you attack that aspect & vote them out ASAP
