Scaring off online gamblers would be just about as easy is trying to get a crack head to quit smoking crack! Until it is impossible to gamble online Americans will find a way to do it!

I think everyone is over reacting. I remember being shocked when I first found a site that took e-check (it was bodog a long time ago) it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. All of a sudden everyone had it, and then PayPal grew and gave us debit cards and we all got spoiled. Then shortly after we got really spoiled because we could hit a few keys and gamble before the money even left our bank accounts. Everything evolved so much. They take it all away and we all think it is the end?
People just need to chill. To say a fish won't send a cashiers check or western union does not compute with me. We will have much less small winners and small losers. The sites will go back to 1/4 shark, 3/4 Fish and this will all end up being a good thing.

Well no, I'm not sure about anything these days. But...
A. I'm not an American-based affiliate
B. I'm not a party poker affiliate

The DOJ is trying to get this information to go after the FOUNDERS of the gaming companies, just like they went after the NEteller founders.

Sure they could after their affiliates, but even the DOJ has limited resources, they are going to concentrate and spend their time on the actual gaming sites, not affiliates.

I could read into this article several different ways. It doesn't say affiliates are excluded now does it. Our biggest worry as pointed out earlier in this thread....is that affiliates could be targeted. This article just doesn't give you the information we all want to hear. That is what is troubling.

This is a big maybe....but still a maybe.

Being a little north of most of you, I may not be as worried as you...considering there is a border between us. But to say this does not bother me....well, lets just say if this disease spreads north (as I expect it will), I will be prepared (as much as one can be at this point).

This is a nightmare.

Agreed 100%.

Like I've said before, I'm not affraid to send money to Toney's MoneyLaundering Service if that's what I have to do to gamble.

Here is another article from Today's New York Times regarding this:

And another about Great Britain comments on doing business with the U.S.

This is potentially the worst of the things so far.

The dual bottom line though is it is already likely cardrooms will be unable to do business with US customers by the end of the year, and regardless of that US affiliates should likely keep clear of any that still do after the regulations are released.
