Default TV Publicity

Why isnt this stupid bill getting more TV publicity? Even if gambling is wrong, this bill is bullshit because its our hard earned money and freedom. Why doesnt Pokerstars and the PPA team or something to get the word out? If they can take away gambling.....what stops this from taking away any rights? Anything could be next, people need to know about it.

Good question.. haven't seen it on TV at all. Maybe we all need to contact our local stations! I'll try it tonight and see what happens.

I'll tell you why. Because it's election season and all the monkey's running our governement are busy bad mouthing eachother. I think if people are calling for Dennis Haterts resignation, some Democratic news group should be calling for Frist's resignation. Being the senate majority leader and pulling a west coast jack move at 1:00 A.M. on the rest of the congress deserves some attention.

Not too mention, we (the u.s.) operate in a global economy and one of our senators allowed companies in the U.K. to lose billions of dollars in the matter of hours. And that is only the beginning of the fallout, lost money, and unemployed people............when thinking on a global level.

Even the WTO has said the U.S. is wrong for doing this. If I login to a poker site whose server and all transactions take place on soil where online poker is legal, how can the U.S. arrest me.

Put restictions on U.S. banks, that's fine. But to control how U.S. citizens determine what leisure activities they want to spend their hard earned money on is ludacris. Hence why I don't see this law being enforced on either players or affiliates.

In closing since when does the U.S. own or govern the internet?

I thought WWW stands for World Wide Web and the use of the world wide web should not be restricted within a so-called democracy.

Excelent point and serves to demonstrate just how motherfucking arrogant our government has become. I can only hope that others will recognize this and elect modern, forward thinking moderates to office in the future.

For someone who said they were gone, you sure do show up a lot

Great point though J, I also agree with Dan that we should make a list of who we need elected in to help regulate it.

I'd be down for doing some lobbying if the funds were donated by an online company or companies. Not just Frist, but Goodlatte and the others too. These guys can easily be targets if we relate them too Frist, since Frist is a total fuckup, cheat, liar, what have you. Their association with him with demerit their own character.

I think Jeremy needs to run for a local position and then we push him into the senate.

Imagine the bills he would propose! Asian hottie topless poker day!
