Default Internet Gambling Amendment Added

Looks like no surprises. According to Reuters it has been added to the bill, and should pass both houses in the next three hours.

Bush would then sign it in the next few days.

Man this is dissapointing. I had just received a large increase in google PR ranking this current update and was just starting to see some real increases in revenue this month.

This is certainly a sad day for not only affiliates, but it for all America. To say that this bill was attached in order to get it through before they went home for the weekend to campaign is ridiculous. It is silly our country is run by such selfish people.

It's not done yet! This same attempt was blocked the other day. They can block adding this to the Port Security Bill like they did last week to an Iraq Defense Bill.

Congess said it wouldn't add the online gambling bill because it had nothing to do with the original bill and was so outside the landscape of the Iraq Defense Bill that they couldn't justify it. Same is very possible here.

Everyone needs to relax till later tonight to see what happens.

I for one will be going out and enjoying myself and hopefully getting involved with a nice young lady... or two.

I'll check back later and hopefully we'll all have better news to report.

Easily the most frustrated I have ever been. We need to start looking into next election to vote for those who will try to regulate it.

Anyone know if there is anything else we can do to fight it?

If I heard correctly Frist is 3rd in line to speak which should be in a couple minutes.

Hopefully he has a heart attack and dies on the spot.

That's sick....ffs I knew this day would come. and how is this going to affect rest of the world? is internet poker going to die completely?...I mean most of the players on the interet are american ppl. what will happen to the big poker sites like partypoker and pokerstars etc.

I just dont get those ppl that make the laws in your country....why wont they listen to their ppl?? its obvious that the men an women that love poker have maybe their point clear but no-one seems to be listening to them
