Having been screwed over early in my career as a webmaster for over $1000, I have nothing but sympathy for people who have paid for work and never received it. It's an expensive lesson to learn.

I can only take from this post that you are not truly convinced he is a scammer? is it that you still think taketherakeback is going to get his money?

The more lax you are on this matter only incourages future scammers to try and rip off members of this board. By even suggesting that the_godfather is not a scammer is a huge step towards breeding more of this behaviour. If he is not a scammer , then he is the most unprofessional person out there and should not be welcome on these boards anyways.

This wasn't a compicated scam. the_godfather was like "wallet inspector" and people forked over their cash. The only reason he is stil here (it seems to me atleast) is to just utterly ridicule the people he scammed.

And you're like , "I gotta talk to Jeremy about banning this guy"....

he did do honest work for Randy though, and he appeared to be working very hard on a project for me before he disappeared. So this is a strange situation.

.....and I know he was working hard on it because he was showing me the progress, he was even doing custom artwork.

Not giving any breaks, just throwing out more points for the story.

He did the work for Randy in an attempt to gain trust and credibility, and I'm sure he used it as a reference to the people he scammed.

Now the fact he was paid money before the work was completed is what is really strange about all this.

Don't tell me, there was a story about how he needed the money really bad and he would do the work at a low cost in exchange for the money upfront

The fact that respected members are still on the fence about this is outright scary to me.

So I guess that some of you are thinking "since I didnt get scammed he is not that bad of guy". The big picture is that right now the godfather is blantantly mocking TTRB and is not doing anything about the money which is owed. I hate scammers more than anything, and right now the godfather fits in that catagory. Until something is cleared up, this situation needs to be taken seriously.

Guys all randy is doing is stating the facts. He isnt choosing sides or saying what Godfather has done is right. Dont jump on him he is not the bad guy.

And like he said, we will talk about it and make a decision.

I have been scammed before as well and do not take the matter lightly.

This thread is now closed. Jeremy and I discussed how we're going to handle Godfather over the phone, and we're going to ban him from the forum.
