Facebook has a no-refund advertising policy so they can cancel ads without a warning. They also don't say what kind of ads are or aren't permitted.

I emailed them on the 12th to inquire about advertising a poker site.

Here is their reply today, 8 days later:

No, if we catch you doing it, we'll disable you from our site.

Consider this a warning? Anyways, don't bother advertising there. They won't say anything about poker sites, because they want you to pay first.

thats odd I advertised on the UMD facebook part for 17 bucks for a day. I received 17 clicks and never heard a word from them.

Also weird because I got a CPA deal out of their media search program from referring the facebook to party

Interesting. Maybe they just don't want college students advertising in their own profiles. Pretty ignorant response from them though considering that I emailed them at the email address they provided for advertising questions.

I'm sure they think you mean just posting links to your site and not actually paid advertising.

Yep, that would put me off doing business with any company, even if it was someone asking if they could post their link they were checking the rules first and looking for help.

You have to have a .edu account to register with them, because staff/faculty is allowed to create accounts.

I don't think you have to have an account to advertise.
