Blog Press Release

[travisand]

So what if I was to add some kind of interesting content to a blog and then do a press release for it?

Has anybody tried this? Does anybody do press releases for blogs?

Is this just a really old idea that people are tired of hearing about and wish me to shut up?

There's no reason at all you couldn't do a press release about your blog. It would be better to make sure that your blog is 'newsworthy' though.

I've done it with an poker unrelated blog before - decent results / links , but it did not generate much affilate revenue.
